Daytime running light LED tube light set (for front turn signals).
White DRL with amber sequential turn function
Clips into front fascia of headlight opening of all Polaris General models
If you already have a turn signal kit on your Polaris General and are looking to add teardrop style daytime running/turn signals to the front, this is a fast and easy solution that looks great.
Custom length LED tube specifically designed to fit Polaris General headlight and fascia without the need to drill or cut anything.
Custom bracket holds the LED tube. Entire assembly simply clips into fascia.
A power harness is included that connects to a 12v+ key on power source.
An LED ballast connects to each light tube.
There are 3 wires on each ballast.
Black=ground (connects to a good ground source)
Yellow=turn (connects to signal wire from turn signal kit)
Red=DRL (daytime running light with key on) This connects to 12v+ key on ignition source
LED tube & bracket installation
1. 1. Locate the Red and Black wire fused harness. Connect this harness to a 12v+ key-on ignition source and install a low amperage fuse (4amp is suggested). Connect the red & black wires to the red and black wires on the ballast. Connect the black and red wires to the black and red wires of the ballast. Connect the yellow wire of the ballast to the appropriate signal wire coming from the turn signal kit.
(yellow=driver green=passenger)
The kit is tested before leaving our warehouse, however we highly recommend connecting the entire system and double-checking functionality now as this will provide an opportunity for you to familiarize yourself with the kit prior to installation.
2. 2. The led tubes should come pre-installed onto the bracket. If they are not, gently slide and press the tube into the bracket ensuring that the wire end is coming out of the upper portion of the bracket near the top/inner area of the headlight.
3. 3. There are 3 screws holding the headlight in place. (2 inner screws and 1 outer screw) Locate the outer screw and note approximately how far it is screwed into the fascia. Remove the outer screw thus allowing the headlight to be gently swung back enough to allow the LED bracket to be clipped into place. The bracket should clip into the fascia on the under side of the headlight. Once clipped into place, slide forward as far as possible to allow ease of re-installing headlight.
4. 4. Route the wire behind the upper inner portion of the headlight. This small black wire may get pinched once the light is then remounted but slight pinching of this wire is ok.
5. 5. Re-install the headlight to It’s original position noting how far the screw was originally screwed in and attempt to get it as close as possible to the location it was.
6. 6. Once headlight is secured, you may gently press on the LED tube to press it flush up against the headlight if you wish.
7. 7. Finish securing any wires and tidy things up to ensure no wires are in contact with radiator or hoses.
